Math:

Though there are no required assignments or minimums, we offer these math games and activities as guidance. We hope students and parents will take advantage of these resources whenever it fits into their summer schedules. Even a small amount of regular practice can help students retain skills and start the new school year feeling prepared.

Reading:

When children read independently, we recommend having a grown-up nearby to offer support for words with advanced phonics patterns and unfamiliar vocabulary. We want children to continue building the strong reading habits they began developing this year, including sounding out words rather than guessing, monitoring for sense as they read, and correcting errors.

Writing:

Have your child practice their lowercase letter formation using the handwriting packet. When writing, give reminders for capitalization and punctuation.
